Barnes Jr.''' (August 21, 1931 – January 11, 2024) is an American politician who served in the [New Hampshire Senate](/source/New_Hampshire_Senate) for the [17th district](/source/New_Hampshire's_17th_State_Senate_District), from 1992 to 1998 and again from 2000 to 2012. A member of the [Republican Party](/source/Republican_Party_(United_States)), he previously served as a member of the [New Hampshire House of Representatives](/source/New_Hampshire_House_of_Representatives) from 1988 until 1992.
