# Joe Womack

**Joe Neil Womack** (born December 10, 1936) is an American former professional [football](/source/American_football) player who was a [halfback](/source/Halfback_(American_football)) for one season with the [Pittsburgh Steelers](/source/Pittsburgh_Steelers) of the [National Football League](/source/National_Football_League) (NFL).[1] He played [college football](/source/College_football) for the [Los Angeles State Diablos](/source/Cal_State_Los_Angeles_Diablos_football) (now Cal State Los Angeles). Womack was selected by the Steelers in the 13th round of the [1960 NFL draft](/source/1960_NFL_draft).[2]
