'''Joseph Geoffrey Moock ''' (born March 12, 1944) is an American former professional [baseball](/source/baseball) [infielder](/source/infielder) who appeared in 13 [games](/source/games_played) as a [third baseman](/source/third_baseman) and [pinch hitter](/source/pinch_hitter) in the [Major Leagues](/source/Major_League_Baseball) for the [New York Mets](/source/New_York_Mets) in {{mlby|1967}}. Born in [Plaquemine, Louisiana](/source/Plaquemine%2C_Louisiana), he batted [left-handed](/source/left-handed) and threw right-handed, stood {{convert|6|ft|1|in}} tall and weighed {{convert|180|lb}}.

Moock attended [Louisiana State University](/source/Louisiana_State_University) and was selected in the third round of the initial [June amateur draft](/source/1965_Major_League_Baseball_Draft), held in 1965. In his second pro season, 1966 with the [Auburn Mets](/source/Auburn_Mets), Moock led the [New York–Penn League](/source/New_York%E2%80%93Penn_League) in [hits](/source/hit_(baseball)) with 146. He spent most of the first five months of the 1967 campaign on the [MLB](/source/MLB) Mets' military list, in force during the [Vietnam War](/source/Vietnam_War) period. He made his debut with New York on September 1, and started ten games during the waning months of the 1967 season, collecting nine hits, including two [doubles](/source/double_(baseball)), and five [runs batted in](/source/runs_batted_in).

Returning to the [minor leagues](/source/minor_leagues) for more playing time in 1968, he was acquired by the [expansion](/source/expansion_team) [Montreal Expos](/source/Montreal_Expos) in 1969, but was never recalled to the majors. Moock retired after the 1970 minor-league season.

After his pro baseball days were over, Moock was a baseball coach at a private school in [Louisiana](/source/Louisiana).
