== Career ==
Ide grew up in [South Central](/source/Historic_South_Central_Los_Angeles) [Los Angeles](/source/Los_Angeles), which he used as the setting for a series of crime novels that feature his recurring young [Sherlockian](/source/Sherlock_Holmes_fandom) protagonist, Isaiah Quintabe.
