**Jochen Schümann** (German pronunciation: [\[ˈjɔxn̩ ˈʃyːman\]](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:IPA/Standard_German) [ⓘ](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:De-Jochen_Sch%C3%BCmann.ogg); born 8 June 1954) is a German [sailor](/source/Sailing_(sport)) and three-time Olympic champion.

He competed at the [1976 Summer Olympics](/source/1976_Summer_Olympics) in [Montreal](/source/Montreal), where he won a gold medal in the *[finn class](/source/Finn_(dinghy))*.[1][2]

He competed in the [Soling class](/source/Soling) at the [1988](/source/1988_Summer_Olympics),[3] [1996](/source/1996_Summer_Olympics)[4] and [2000 Summer Olympics](/source/2000_Summer_Olympics),[5] winning two gold medals and one silver medal in this class.

## America's Cup Team Alinghi

Schümann participated and won the 2003 and 2007 [America's Cup](/source/America's_Cup) for Swiss Team [Alinghi](/source/Alinghi) acting as sporting director.

## ALL4ONE Challenge

He is currently involved with [ALL4ONE Challenge](/source/ALL4ONE_Challenge) in the [Louis Vuitton Trophy](/source/Louis_Vuitton_Trophy).

## Awards
