# Joar Hoff

Norwegian footballer and coach (1939–2019)

**Joar Hoff** (10 April 1939 – 22 May 2019[1]) was a Norwegian [football](/source/Association_football) player and coach.

A [midfielder](/source/Midfielder), Hoff played for [Bodø/Glimt](/source/FK_Bod%C3%B8%2FGlimt) in 1959, [Lillestrøm](/source/Lillestr%C3%B8m_SK) and [Strømmen](/source/Str%C3%B8mmen_IF) in 1961, and [Vålerenga](/source/V%C3%A5lerenga_Fotball) in 1965.

Hoff coached Lillestrøm in their first two season in the [Norwegian First Division](/source/Tippeligaen), and led the team to victory in the [1976 Norwegian First Division](/source/1976_Norwegian_First_Division). He also coached Lillestrøm in [1982](/source/1982_Norwegian_First_Division), when the team finished third in the First Division.[2] Hoff also coached Vålerenga in 1978.
