**James Waddell** (born c. 1937)[2] is a [Scottish](/source/Scotland) [curler](/source/Curling). He is a [1979 European champion](/source/1979_European_Curling_Championships) and a [1964 World championship silver medallist](/source/1964_World_Men's_Curling_Championship).[3]

Waddell and the entirety of his 1964 Scottish champion rink were farmers from [Hamilton](/source/Hamilton%2C_Scotland).[2]

His grandson [Kyle](/source/Kyle_Waddell) is a curler too, a [2013 World Junior champion](/source/2013_World_Junior_Curling_Championships) and a [2017 European Championships silver medallist](/source/2017_European_Curling_Championships). Another grandson [Craig](/source/Craig_Waddell) is also a curler, and the brothers played together in the [2019 European Championships](/source/2019_European_Curling_Championships).
