**James Price** (born 21 October 1960) is a British retired [boxer](/source/Boxing).[1]

## Boxing career

Price represented [England](/source/England_at_the_1982_Commonwealth_Games) and won a [gold medal](/source/Gold_medal) in the 75 kg middleweight division, at the [1982 Commonwealth Games](/source/1982_Commonwealth_Games) in [Brisbane](/source/Brisbane), [Queensland](/source/Queensland), [Australia](/source/Australia).[2][3]

Price was a southpaw and boxed for the Holy Name ABC in Fazakerley.[1] He was the [ABA light-middleweight champion](/source/England_Boxing_National_Amateur_Championships_Light-Middleweight_Champions) in 1980 and the [ABA middleweight champion](/source/England_Boxing_National_Amateur_Championships_Middleweight_Champions) in 1982.[4]

He turned professional on 3 February 1983 and fought in 19 fights.[5]
