# Jimmy Darrow

**James K. Darrow** (September 25, 1937 – June 8, 1987) was an American [basketball](/source/Basketball) player. He was born in [Akron, Ohio](/source/Akron,_Ohio). A 5-foot 10-inch (178-centimetre), 170 pounds (77 kg) [guard](/source/Guard_(basketball)), Darrow starred at [Bowling Green State University](/source/Bowling_Green_State_University). He was drafted by the [St. Louis Hawks](/source/St._Louis_Hawks) of the [National Basketball Association](/source/National_Basketball_Association) and played five games with them during the [1961–62 NBA season](/source/1961%E2%80%9362_NBA_season), scoring twelve points. He previously played for the [Akron Goodyears](/source/Akron_Goodyears) in the [National Industrial Basketball League](/source/National_Industrial_Basketball_League).

Darrow was inducted into the Ohio Basketball Hall of Fame in 2018.[1]
