**Jhenaidah-3** is a constituency represented in the [Jatiya Sangsad](/source/Jatiya_Sangsad) (National Parliament) of [Bangladesh](/source/Bangladesh). [Md. Motiar Rahman](/source/Md._Motiar_Rahman) is the incumbent member of Parliament from this constituency.

## Boundaries

The constituency encompasses [Kotchandpur](/source/Kotchandpur_Upazila) and [Maheshpur](/source/Maheshpur_Upazila) upazilas.[2][3]

## History

The constituency was created in 1984 from a Jessore constituency when the former Jessore District was split into four districts: [Jhenaidah](/source/Jhenaidah_District), [Jessore](/source/Jessore_District), [Magura](/source/Magura_District), and [Narail](/source/Narail_District).[4]
