**Jhenaidah-2** is a constituency represented in the [Jatiya Sangsad](/source/Jatiya_Sangsad) (National Parliament) of [Bangladesh](/source/Bangladesh). [Ali Azam Md. Abu Bakr](/source/Ali_Azam_Md._Abu_Bakr) is the incumbent member of Parliament.

## Boundaries

The constituency encompasses [Harinakunda Upazila](/source/Harinakunda_Upazila) and all but four [union parishads](/source/Union_Parishad) of [Jhenaidah Sadar Upazila](/source/Jhenaidah_Sadar_Upazila): Fursandi, Ghorshal, Moharajpur, and Naldanga.[2][3]

## History

The constituency was created in 1984 from a Jessore constituency when the former Jessore District was split into four districts: [Jhenaidah](/source/Jhenaidah_District), [Jessore](/source/Jessore_District), [Magura](/source/Magura_District), and [Narail](/source/Narail_District).[4]
