**Jessica Trend** (born 1 July 1991) is an [Australian rules footballer](/source/Australian_rules_football) who played for [North Melbourne](/source/North_Melbourne_Football_Club#Women's_teams) in the [AFL Women's](/source/AFL_Women's) (AFLW) competition. She was also part of [Fremantle](/source/Fremantle_Football_Club#AFL_Women's_team)'s squad for a season, but was on the inactive list and didn't play. She also appeared as a contestant in the 2021 *[Big Brother Australia Season 13](/source/Big_Brother_(Australian_season_13))*.

## AFLW career

### North Melbourne

Trend was signed by [North Melbourne](/source/North_Melbourne_Football_Club#Women's_teams) as a free agent during the expansion club signing period in [2018](/source/2018_AFL_Women's_draft).[1] She made her debut in the club's inaugural match, a 36-point victory over [Carlton](/source/Carlton_Football_Club#AFL_Women's_team) at [North Hobart Oval](/source/North_Hobart_Oval) in the opening round of the [2019 season](/source/2019_AFL_Women's_season).[2]

### Fremantle/Hawthorn VFLW

In the [AFL trade period](/source/2020_AFL_Women's_draft#Trades) in August 2020, ahead of the [2021 season](/source/2021_AFL_Women's_season), Trend was traded to [Fremantle](/source/Fremantle_Football_Club#AFL_Women's_team).[3] Later that year however Trend was placed on an inactive list to pursue non-football related opportunities and so returned to Victoria.[4] She joined [Hawthorn](/source/Hawthorn_Football_Club_(AFL_Women's)) in the [VFL Women's](/source/VFL_Women's) (VFLW) competition and was made captain of the club for the [2021 season](/source/2021_VFLW_season).[5] At the end of the 2021 season, she was delisted by Fremantle.[6]

On April 27, 2021, it was revealed that Trend would be a housemate on the 2021 season of *[Big Brother Australia](/source/Big_Brother_(Australian_season_13))* where she finished in 11th place after being evicted on day 45 after 41 days in the house.
