==Education==
Kahn grew up in [New York City](/source/New_York_City) and attended [Hunter College High School](/source/Hunter_College_High_School). Kahn was assistant professor at the [California Institute of Technology](/source/California_Institute_of_Technology) from 1995 to 1998 and was later a postdoc at the [University of Toronto](/source/University_of_Toronto). After that, he worked for the investment firm [Highbridge Capital Management](/source/Highbridge_Capital_Management) as an analyst in [financial mathematics](/source/financial_mathematics). He was a postdoc and later assistant professor at the [Stony Brook University](/source/Stony_Brook_University).
