# Jere Strittmatter

**Jere L. Strittmatter** (born April 11, 1950) is a former [Republican](/source/Republican_Party_(United_States)) member of the [Pennsylvania House of Representatives](/source/Pennsylvania_House_of_Representatives).

He graduated from [York Suburban High School](/source/York_Suburban_Senior_High_School) in 1968 and from [Franklin & Marshall College](/source/Franklin_%26_Marshall_College) in 1972.[3] He was first elected to represent the [97th legislative district](/source/Pennsylvania_House_of_Representatives,_District_97) in 1988. He was defeated in the [2002 Republican primary](/source/Pennsylvania_House_of_Representatives_elections,_2002) by [Roy E. Baldwin](/source/Roy_E._Baldwin)[4]

He is now a senior consultant at [Triad Strategies](/source/Triad_Strategies), a Harrisburg lobbying and public relations firm.[5]
