She also played for Ransome & Marles CC, Newark, Nottinghamshire. A late injury forced her out of the [2009 Women's Cricket World Cup final](/source/2009_Women's_Cricket_World_Cup_final) in Sydney but she was at the crease when England defeated New Zealand in that year's [World Twenty20](/source/2009_ICC_Women's_World_Twenty20) final at [Lord's](/source/Lord's).[1][2]

## International career

She was vice-captain of the England side that beat Australia in the female version of [the Ashes](/source/The_Ashes) in 2013 and 2013-14. In October 2018, she was named in England's squad for the [2018 ICC Women's World Twenty20](/source/2018_ICC_Women's_World_Twenty20) tournament in the West Indies.[13][14]

In February 2019, she was awarded a full central contract by the [England and Wales Cricket Board](/source/England_and_Wales_Cricket_Board) (ECB) for 2019.[15][16] In June 2019, the ECB named her in England's squad for their opening match [against Australia](/source/Australia_women's_cricket_team_in_England_in_2019) to contest the [Women's Ashes](/source/Women's_Ashes).[17][18]
