Clulow was born in [Grimsby](/source/Grimsby), [Lincolnshire](/source/Lincolnshire).<ref name=screen/> She appeared as an actress in many television series of the period, including ''[The Avengers](/source/The_Avengers_(TV_series))'',’’[Keeping Up Appearances](/source/Keeping_Up_Appearances)’’,''[No Hiding Place](/source/No_Hiding_Place)'' and ''[Department S](/source/Department_S_(TV_series))'', and played a small role in the 1967 comedy film ''[Carry On Don't Lose Your Head](/source/Don't_Lose_Your_Head)''.
