**Jem Johnson Ryan** (born 31 May 2004) is an Australian [cricketer](/source/Cricket) who has played for [Queensland](/source/Queensland_cricket_team) since the 2025–26 season.[1][2] His older brother [Samson Ryan](/source/Samson_Ryan) plays for [Richmond](/source/Richmond_Football_Club) in the [Australian Football League](/source/Australian_Football_League).

Born in [Pambula](/source/Pambula) on the New South Wales south coast in May 2004, Ryan now lives in Queensland, where he attended [Toowoomba Grammar School](/source/Toowoomba_Grammar_School).[3][1] A right-arm fast-medium bowler, he had back surgery in 2025, and made his [first-class](/source/First-class_cricket) debut for Queensland in the second half of the [2025–26 Sheffield Shield season](/source/2025%E2%80%9326_Sheffield_Shield_season), taking 12 wickets in his first three matches.[4][5] In his second match, against [South Australia](/source/South_Australia_cricket_team), he was Queensland's leading wicket-taker, with 3 for 58 and 2 for 16.[6]
