**Jeff Eastin** (born March 7, 1967) is an [American](/source/Americans) television producer and screenwriter. He is the co-creator of the [crime](/source/Crime) series *[White Collar](/source/White_Collar_(TV_series))* and the [police drama](/source/Police_drama) series *[Graceland](/source/Graceland_(TV_series))*, both on the [USA Network](/source/USA_Network). Eastin also served as [executive producer](/source/Executive_producer) and [showrunner](/source/Showrunner) for both shows.[1][2][3]

Eastin graduated from [Colorado State University](/source/Colorado_State_University) with a degree in [journalism](/source/Journalism). He moved to [Hollywood](/source/Hollywood%2C_Los_Angeles) to pursue a career in directing.

He wrote a [screenplay](/source/Screenplay) titled *Shadow Dancer*, a [thriller](/source/Thriller_(genre)) inspired by the [Billy Joel](/source/Billy_Joel) song "[The Stranger](/source/The_Stranger_(Billy_Joel_song))". The script was optioned by [Zalman King](/source/Zalman_King). Eastin wrote a script about a small town hostage situation that was produced by Trimark Entertainment; it was released as *[Held Up](/source/Held_Up)* starring [Jamie Foxx](/source/Jamie_Foxx). Eastin was chosen by director [James Cameron](/source/James_Cameron) to pen the *[True Lies](/source/True_Lies)* [sequel](/source/Sequel).[4] In 2014, Jeff Eastin signed a deal with Fox.[5]

For television, he created and executive-produced the series *[Hawaii](/source/Hawaii_(TV_series))* for [NBC](/source/NBC). He also created *[Shasta McNasty](/source/Shasta_McNasty)* for UPN, starring Jake Busey.[6][7][8]
