# Jean-Philip Chabot

**Jean-Philip Chabot** (born March 31, 1988) is a [Canadian](/source/Canadian) professional [ice hockey](/source/Ice_hockey) [centre](/source/Centre_(ice_hockey)) who is currently playing with the [Anglet Hormadi Élite](/source/Anglet_Hormadi_%C3%89lite) of the [FFHG Division 1](/source/FFHG_Division_1), the second tier level of France.

Undrafted, Chabot played major junior hockey in the [Quebec Major Junior Hockey League](/source/Quebec_Major_Junior_Hockey_League) with the [Moncton Wildcats](/source/Moncton_Wildcats) and the [Gatineau Olympiques](/source/Gatineau_Olympiques). In his successful junior career he Captained the Olympiques to the QMJHL Championships in the [2007–08](/source/2007%E2%80%9308_QMJHL_season) season.

He had established himself professionally playing with the [Denver Cutthroats](/source/Denver_Cutthroats) in the CHL since the [2012–13](/source/2012-13_CHL_season) season. Having agreed to return for a third season with the Cutthroats, on August 20, 2014, the team suspended operations, effective immediately, releasing Chabot as a free agent.[1] On August 28, he joined his third CHL club, in agreeing to a one-year contract with the [Rapid City Rush](/source/Rapid_City_Rush).[2]
