The village is located on the island of [Langøya](/source/Lang%C3%B8ya) on the northern shore of the [Hadselfjorden](/source/Hadselfjorden), just south of the border with [Sortland Municipality](/source/Sortland_Municipality). It is located approximately half-way between the towns of [Stokmarknes](/source/Stokmarknes) and [Sortland](/source/Sortland_(town)), and just north of the village of [Grytting](/source/Grytting).
