In 2011, she was nominated for the [British Soap Award for Best Actress](/source/British_Soap_Award_for_Best_Actress) for her portrayal. ## Career Cox has starred in episodes of *[Coronation Street](/source/Coronation_Street)*, *[Hetty Wainthropp Investigates](/source/Hetty_Wainthropp_Investigates)* and *[The Bill](/source/The_Bill)*. Her most notable pre-*[Emmerdale](/source/Emmerdale)* role was playing JJ in the children's entertainment series *[Allsorts](/source/Allsorts_(TV_series))* from 1991 to 1995.[1] She has also appeared on *[Lily Savage's Blankety Blank](/source/Lily_Savage's_Blankety_Blank)*.[2] In March 2019, Cox announced that she would be leaving *Emmerdale* after 23 years of portraying [Lisa Dingle](/source/Lisa_Dingle).
