==Biography==
Groth was born in the borough of [Greåker](/source/Gre%C3%A5ker) in [Sarpsborg](/source/Sarpsborg), Norway. He first made his name in the early 1970s as a member of the [progressive rock](/source/progressive_rock) band [Aunt Mary](/source/Aunt_Mary), where he was lead singer and keyboardist. Groth later moved on to [Christian rock](/source/Christian_rock), where he most notably sang rock versions of preacher [Aage Samuelsen](/source/Aage_Samuelsen)'s songs. He was also a member of the band [Just 4 Fun](/source/Just_4_Fun_(band)). Just 4 Fun participated for Norway in the 1991 [Eurovision Song Contest](/source/Eurovision_Song_Contest) with the song "[Mrs. Thompson](/source/Mrs._Thompson_(song))". In 2007, he released the album ''Sanger fra [T.B. Barratts](/source/Thomas_Ball_Barratt) salmebok'' to mark the 100th anniversary of the [Pentecostal Church](/source/Pentecostal_Church) in Norway.
