# Jamie Spowart

**Jamie W. Spowart** (born 15 May 1998) is a [New Zealand](/source/New_Zealand_people) [rugby union](/source/Rugby_union) player. His position of is [Wing](/source/Rugby_union_positions).[1]

## Tasman

Spowart made his debut for in Round 1 of the [2018 Mitre 10 Cup](/source/2018_Mitre_10_Cup) against at [Lansdowne Park](/source/Lansdowne_Park,_Blenheim) in [Blenheim](/source/Blenheim,_New_Zealand). In August 2019 he was named in the 2019 Tasman Mako squad for the first time.[2] He was vice captain of the Mako squad that toured the [United States of America](/source/United_States_of_America) in January 2020.[3] He was named in the 2020 Tasman Mako squad but did not play a game as the Mako won their second premiership title in a row.[4]

## Southland

After not being named in the Tasman squad for the [2021 Bunnings NPC](/source/2021_Bunnings_NPC) Spowart headed north and was part of the wider training squad before being named to come off the bench for against in Round 1 of the competition.
