Chambers is a member of and volunteer for the [Horror Writers Association](/source/Horror_Writers_Association) and recipient of the 2012 HWA President's Richard Laymon Award and the 2016 [HWA Silver Hammer Award](/source/HWA_Silver_Hammer_Award).
