**Jamalpur-1** is a constituency represented in the [Jatiya Sangsad](/source/Jatiya_Sangsad) (National Parliament) of [Bangladesh](/source/Bangladesh). [M. Rashiduzzaman Millat](/source/M._Rashiduzzaman_Millat) is the incumbent representative of this constituency since 17 February 2026.

## Boundaries

The constituency encompasses [Baksiganj](/source/Baksiganj_Upazila) and [Dewanganj](/source/Dewanganj_Upazila) upazilas.[2][3]

## History

The constituency was created in 1978, when the former Mymensingh District was split into two districts: [Jamalpur](/source/Jamalpur_District) and [Mymensingh](/source/Mymensingh_District).[4]
