After Bengals' [H-back](/source/H-back) [Ryan Hewitt](/source/Ryan_Hewitt) injured his MCL during the regular season, Fisher's number was switched from 74 to 44 so he wouldn't have to check in as an [eligible receiver](/source/eligible_receiver) every play he was used as a pass catcher.<ref>{{Cite web|date=December 31, 2015|url=http://www.cincyjungle.com/2015/12/31/10695560/ryan-hewitt-injury-sparks-bengals-to-move-jake-fisher-to-fullback-h|title=Ryan Hewitt injury sparks Bengals to move Jake Fisher to fullback/h-back|website=Cincy Jungle|access-date=March 16, 2016}}</ref>
