Carder was in the [Cricket Australia XI](/source/Cricket_Australia_XI) squad for the [2017–18 JLT One-Day Cup](/source/2017%E2%80%9318_JLT_One-Day_Cup). Batting second against [South Australia](/source/South_Australia_cricket_team), he scored his maiden List A century. He scored 102 and combined with [Beau Webster](/source/Beau_Webster) for a 229-run partnership, the fourth-highest second-wicket partnership in Australia's domestic one-day history.
