'''Jaffeite''' is a hydrated [calcium silicate](/source/calcium_silicate) with the following chemical formula: {{chem|Ca|6|Si|2|O|7|(OH)|6}}

==Occurrence==
The mineral was first found at the Kombat Mine in [Namibia](/source/Namibia). In 1989, the mineral was named after Prof. [Howard W. Jaffe](/source/Howard_W._Jaffe) (1919–2002) of the [University of Massachusetts Amherst](/source/University_of_Massachusetts_Amherst).
