# Jacobi Mitchell

**Jacobi Mitchell** (born January 4, 1986) is a Bahamian sprinter from [Freeport, Bahamas](/source/Freeport,_Bahamas) who competed in the [100 m](/source/100_m) and [200 m](/source/200_m) and [400 m](/source/400_m). He attended Freeport Anglican High School later changed to [Bishop Michael Eldon School](/source/Bishop_Michael_Eldon_School) before going on to compete for the [University of Oklahoma](/source/University_of_Oklahoma).[1]

He ran the 200 m at the [2007 World Championships in Athletics](/source/2007_World_Championships_in_Athletics) in [Osaka, Japan](/source/Osaka,_Japan). He also competed in the 200 m and the 4 × 100 m Relay at the [2007 Pan American Games](/source/2007_Pan_American_Games) in [Rio de Janeiro, Brazil](/source/Rio_de_Janeiro,_Brazil).[2] Mitchell competed at the [2004 World Junior Championships in Athletics](/source/2004_World_Junior_Championships_in_Athletics) in [Grosseto, Italy](/source/Grosseto,_Italy).[3] He transferred to Oklahoma from [South Plains College](/source/South_Plains_College), where he was an [NJCAA](/source/NJCAA) All-American.[4]
