Frederick A. Wise, was the editor in chief of the pro-Jacksonian ''[Westmoreland Republican](/source/Westmoreland_Republican)'', and [John H. Wise](/source/John_H._Wise_(Pennsylvania_politician)) was a member of the [Pennsylvania House of Representatives](/source/Pennsylvania_House_of_Representatives).
