# Jacob Bossman

**Jacob Bossman** is an American politician who represents the 14th district in the [Iowa House of Representatives](/source/Iowa_House_of_Representatives).

Bossman served as a regional director for [U.S. Senator](/source/United_States_Senate) [Chuck Grassley](/source/Chuck_Grassley). He lost to [Jim Carlin](/source/Jim_Carlin_(politician)) in the 2016 [primary election](/source/Partisan_primary) for the sixth district of the Iowa House. He won a [special election](/source/By-election) to the Iowa House to succeed Carlin on January 16, 2018 after Carlin was elected to the [Iowa Senate](/source/Iowa_Senate) in a special election the previous year.[1][2]

Bossman is from [Sioux City, Iowa](/source/Sioux_City,_Iowa).[3]

In the [2024 Republican Party presidential primaries](/source/2024_Republican_Party_presidential_primaries), Bossman endorsed [Nikki Haley](/source/Nikki_Haley).[4]
