***Jack and Jacques*** ([French](/source/French_language): *Jack et Jacques*) is a Canadian short drama film, directed by Marie-Hélène Copti and released in 2006.[1] The film stars [Pierre Lebeau](/source/Pierre_Lebeau) as Jacques Jobin, a mediocre actor from [Quebec](/source/Quebec) who has been cast in a small part as a [Native American](/source/Indigenous_peoples_of_the_Americas) in a Western film starring [Jack Nicholson](/source/Jack_Nicholson), and is being interviewed by student filmmakers Pat Beauséjour (François Bernier) and Annie St-Gelais (Guillermina Kerwin) about his experiences on set and his hopes that the role will provide the career breakthrough that's always eluded him.

The film premiered at the 2006 [Montreal World Film Festival](/source/Montreal_World_Film_Festival), where it won the award for Most Popular Canadian Short Film.[2] It received a [Genie Award](/source/Genie_Award) nomination for [Best Live Action Short Drama](/source/Canadian_Screen_Award_for_Best_Live_Action_Short_Drama) at the [27th Genie Awards](/source/27th_Genie_Awards) in 2007.[3]
