# Jack Muldoon

**Jonathan Jack Lyndan Muldoon** (born 19 May 1989) is an English professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who plays as a [forward](/source/Forward_(association_football)) for club [Harrogate Town](/source/Harrogate_Town_A.F.C.).

## Career

### Non-League

Muldoon started his career at home-town club [Scunthorpe United](/source/Scunthorpe_United_F.C.) as a [winger](/source/Midfielder#Winger), being released in his second year as a youth. After a mid-season at [Doncaster Rovers](/source/Doncaster_Rovers_F.C.) he moved to lower league football, starting with [Brigg Town](/source/Brigg_Town_F.C.).

Muldoon subsequently represented [Sheffield](/source/Sheffield_F.C.),[4] [Glapwell](/source/Glapwell_F.C.), [Alfreton Town](/source/Alfreton_Town_F.C.),[5] [Stocksbridge Park Steels](/source/Stocksbridge_Park_Steels_F.C.),[6] [North Ferriby United](/source/North_Ferriby_United_A.F.C.) and [Worksop Town](/source/Worksop_Town_F.C.).[7] With the latter he scored 21 league goals during the campaign, attracting interest from [Football League](/source/The_Football_League) clubs.

### Rochdale

On 15 May 2014, Muldoon joined [Rochdale](/source/Rochdale_A.F.C.) on a one-year deal,[8] and then quit his job as a plasterer in order to pursue being a professional footballer.[9] He made his début on 7 October 2014, coming on as a 58th-minute substitute during Rochdale's 1–0 [Football League Trophy](/source/Football_League_Trophy) defeat against [Walsall](/source/Walsall_F.C.).[10] He made his Football League debut on 15 November 2014, coming on as a 68th minute substitution for Michael Rose in a 0–1 away loss against [Port Vale](/source/Port_Vale_F.C.).[11] He was released at the end of the season.[12]

### Lincoln City

On 28 May 2015, he signed an initial one-year contract at [Lincoln City](/source/Lincoln_City_F.C.) after his release from [Rochdale](/source/Rochdale_A.F.C.). Made his debut in a 1–1 home draw with [Cheltenham](/source/Cheltenham_Town) and then managed to score his first goal for the Imps in a 1–1 draw with [Eastleigh](/source/Eastleigh_F.C.). In January 2016 he signed a new one-year contract extension.

### Harrogate Town

On 30 June 2018, Muldoon signed for [Harrogate Town](/source/Harrogate_Town_A.F.C.) from [AFC Fylde](/source/AFC_Fylde). Muldoon played in and won the 2020 FA Trophy final with Harrogate.

## Personal life

He has been diagnosed with [Type 1 diabetes](/source/Type_1_diabetes).[13]
