In 2008 he was the reserve [goalkeeper](/source/goalkeeper_(field_hockey)) in the Dutch team that came in fourth at the [Olympic Games](/source/Field_hockey_at_the_2008_Summer_Olympics) in [Beijing](/source/Beijing). At the [2012 Summer Olympics](/source/2012_Summer_Olympics) and [2016 Summer Olympics](/source/2016_Summer_Olympics), he was the starting goalkeeper.
