'''JAGAL''' (''Jamal-Gas-Anbindungsleitung'') is a German section of the [Yamal-Europe pipeline](/source/Yamal-Europe_pipeline). The pipeline is used for the Russian natural gas import and it is owned and operated by Gascade Gastransport GmbH. It runs from the Polish–German border at [Lebus](/source/Lebus) near [Frankfurt (Oder)](/source/Frankfurt_(Oder)) to [Rückersdorf](/source/R%C3%BCckersdorf%2C_Thuringia). In Rückersdorf JAGAL is connected with [STEGAL](/source/STEGAL) pipeline carrying gas further west. In [Bernau](/source/Bernau_bei_Berlin) JAGAL is connected with the [Verbundnetz Gas AG](/source/Verbundnetz_Gas_AG)-operated long-distance gas pipeline No. 302.<ref name=bernau>

Construction of the JAGAL pipeline started in 1995, when a double duct between [Lebus](/source/Lebus) and [Górzyca](/source/G%C3%B3rzyca) in [Poland](/source/Poland) was laid under [Oder](/source/Oder) and {{convert|11|km|adj=on}} long connection from Lebus to Mallnow compressor station was built. This section was completed in 1996. The {{convert|97|km|adj=on}} second section of JAGAL from Mallnow to [Baruth/Mark](/source/Baruth%2FMark) was completed in 1997. {{convert|230|km|adj=on}} JAGAL II from Baruth to Rückersdorf was constructed in 1999. The section from the border to Mallnow has a diameter of {{convert|1400|mm|in}} while rest of the pipeline has a diameter of {{convert|1400|mm|in}}. It has a capacity of {{convert|840|Gcuft}} of natural gas per year.
