**Ivo Charles Graham** ([/ˈaɪvoʊ/](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:IPA/English) [*EYE-voh*](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Pronunciation_respelling_key)) is an English stand-up comedian and comedy writer.

## Early life and education

Ivo Charles Graham[1] was born in [Tokyo](/source/Tokyo), Japan. He attended day and boarding schools in Australia and the UK, as his family moved around for his father's work.[2] In the UK, he was raised in the village of [Aldbourne](/source/Aldbourne) in [Wiltshire](/source/Wiltshire).[3]

After attending [Eton College](/source/Eton_College),[2] he studied French and [Russian literature](/source/Russian_literature) at [University College, Oxford](/source/University_College%2C_Oxford), graduating in 2012.[4][5]

## Comedy career

Graham was the youngest ever winner of *[So You Think You're Funny?](/source/So_You_Think_You're_Funny%3F)* in 2009[6] and was subsequently signed by UK talent agency Off The Kerb. He was nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2010 [Chortle Awards](/source/Chortle_Awards).[7]

His television appearances include *The Stand-Up Sketch Show* (ITV2), [*Live at the Apollo*](/source/Live_at_the_Apollo_(TV_series)), *[Mock the Week](/source/Mock_the_Week)*, *[Live from the BBC](/source/Live_from_the_BBC)*, *[Russell Howard's Stand Up Central](/source/Stand_Up_Central)*, *[As Yet Untitled](/source/Alan_Davies%3A_As_Yet_Untitled)*, *[Virtually Famous](/source/Virtually_Famous)*, *[QI](/source/QI)*, *[Sweat the Small Stuff](/source/Sweat_the_Small_Stuff),* and *[The Dog Ate My Homework](/source/The_Dog_Ate_My_Homework)*, and he is a regular on radio show *[Fighting Talk](/source/Fighting_Talk)*.[8][9][10][11] In October 2019 and December 2021, he competed on *[Richard Osman's House of Games](/source/Richard_Osman's_House_of_Games)*,[12] and appeared on [Paul Merton](/source/Paul_Merton)'s team on [*Have I Got News For You*](/source/Have_I_Got_News_for_You) on 8 November 2019.[13][14] Graham appeared again on the show, via webcam due to the [COVID-19 pandemic](/source/COVID-19_pandemic_in_the_United_Kingdom), on 15 May 2020, and was again part of Paul Merton's team. In 2023, Graham competed on the fifteenth season of *[Taskmaster](/source/Taskmaster_(TV_series))*.[15]

Graham regularly performs at the [Edinburgh Fringe](/source/Edinburgh_Festival_Fringe). His shows *Binoculars* (2013), *Bowties and Johnnies* (2014), and *No Filter* (2015) all transferred to London for runs at the [Soho Theatre](/source/Soho_Theatre). His 2017 show *Educated Guess* garnered good reviews[16][17] and sold out, prompting several extra shows to be added, which were performed at the Soho Theatre in October.[18]

Graham has also supported [Josh Widdicombe](/source/Josh_Widdicombe) on tour.[19]

In 2019, Graham was included in the [i-news](/source/I_(British_newspaper)) "50 of the best jokes of the Edinburgh Fringe" with his line: "Do I enjoy randomly appointing people to judicial positions? I'll let you be the judge of that".[20] That year, he was nominated for Best Show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe for his show, "The Game of Life".

In late 2021, Graham co-presented the Dave travelogue *British as Folk* alongside fellow comedians [Darren Harriott](/source/Darren_Harriott) and [Fern Brady](/source/Fern_Brady).[21]

In May 2025, Graham replaced [Ben Miller](/source/Ben_Miller) as the voice of [Monkey](/source/Monkey_(character)) in adverts for [PG Tips](/source/PG_Tips) tea.[22]

## Personal life

Graham is a supporter of [Swindon Town F.C.](/source/Swindon_Town_F.C.)[23] He has a daughter, born in February 2019.[24]
