# Ivar Jenner

**Ivar Jenner** (born 10 January 2004) is a professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who plays as a [midfielder](/source/Midfielder#Central_midfielder) for [Super League](/source/Super_League_(Indonesia)) club [Dewa United Banten](/source/Dewa_United_Banten_F.C.). Born in the Netherlands, he represents the [Indonesia national team](/source/Indonesia_national_football_team).

## Club career

Jenner played for [IJsselstein](/source/IJsselstein)-based academy side IJFC and [Ajax](/source/AFC_Ajax) before a move to [Utrecht](/source/FC_Utrecht) in 2016.[4][5] He signed his first professional contract in May 2021.[5]

Jenner signed a new three-year deal with Utrecht in August 2023.[6] After three years at Jong Utrecht, he joined Utrecht senior team for 2025–26 season.[7] On 2 February 2026, Jenner's contract with Utrecht was mutually terminated.[8]

## International career

Jenner has represented the Netherlands at under-15 level.[1]

He is also eligible to represent Indonesia, and in October 2022, he travelled with fellow Dutch-Indonesian footballer [Justin Hubner](/source/Justin_Hubner) to Indonesia to become [naturalized](/source/Naturalized), in order to represent the [Indonesia national under-20 football team](/source/Indonesia_national_under-20_football_team) at the [2023 AFC Asian Cup](/source/2023_AFC_Asian_Cup) and the [2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup](/source/2023_FIFA_U-20_World_Cup).[9]

Although Jenner still holds the Netherlands passport, on 17 November 2022, he played for the [Indonesia U-20](/source/Indonesia_national_under-20_football_team) in a losing effort, 0–6 against [France U-20](/source/France_national_under-20_football_team) in a friendly match in Spain.[10] He also played against [Slovakia U-20](/source/Slovakia_national_under-20_football_team) two days later, in a 1–2 loss.[11]

On 27 May 2023, Jenner received a called-up for the [senior team](/source/Indonesia_national_football_team) for the friendly matches against [Palestine](/source/Palestine_national_football_team) and [Argentina](/source/Argentina_national_football_team). Ivar made his debut on June 14, 2023, against Palestine in a 0–0 draw. On June 19, 2023, Ivar made his first start for the senior team, in just his second appearance for them against Argentina in a 0–2 loss.[12]

On 29 August, Jenner received a call up to the [under-23](/source/Indonesia_national_under-23_football_team) team for the [2024 AFC U-23 Asian Cup qualification](/source/2024_AFC_U-23_Asian_Cup_qualification). He made his debut for the under-23 team against [Chinese Taipei](/source/Chinese_Taipei_national_under-23_football_team), in a 9–0 win. He would score his first international goal against [Turkmenistan](/source/Turkmenistan_national_under-23_football_team) a few days later.[13]

Jenner was named in the final squad for the [2023 AFC Asian Cup](/source/2023_AFC_Asian_Cup) tournament. He played in all matches and helped the national team reached its first ever knockout stage.

## Personal life

Born in the Netherlands, Jenner is of Indonesian descent.[14]

On 22 May 2023, Jenner officially obtained Indonesian citizenship.[15]
