**Ivan Valente** (born 5 July 1946) is a Brazilian politician, teacher and engineer.[1][2][3] He has been a member of the [Socialism and Liberty Party](/source/Socialism_and_Liberty_Party) (PSOL) since 2005 and is a federal deputy for the state of [São Paulo](/source/S%C3%A3o_Paulo_(state)).[4][5][6] He is the party leader at the [Chamber of Deputies](/source/Lower_house),[7] and was PSOL's president from 2011 to 2013.[8]
