**Itamos** ([Greek](/source/Greek_language): Ίταμος) is a former [municipality](/source/Communities_and_Municipalities_of_Greece) in the [Karditsa regional unit](/source/Karditsa_(regional_unit)), [Thessaly](/source/Thessaly), [Greece](/source/Greece), named after the ancient city of "Itamos". Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality [Karditsa](/source/Karditsa), of which it is a municipal unit.[2] The municipal unit has an area of 234.384 km2.[3] Population 2,781 (2021). The seat of the municipality was in [Kallithiro](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Kallithiro&action=edit&redlink=1).
