# Issuna

**Issuna** is a village and administrative ward in the [Singida Rural](/source/Singida_Rural) district of the [Singida Region](/source/Singida_Region) of [Tanzania](/source/Tanzania). According to the 2002 census, the ward has a total population of 11,285.[1]

It lies approximately 40 miles (64 km) south of the [town of Singida](/source/Singida_(town)) and about 90 miles (140 km) north east of the national capital [Dodoma](/source/Dodoma).

## Transport

Issuna has a railway station on the [Singida branch line](/source/Railway_stations_in_Tanzania#Singida_Line) from [Manyoni](/source/Manyoni) junction. It is also situated on the B141 road.

## Incidents

In January 1963, there was an incident involving two [lions](/source/Panthera_leo_melanochaita) and [livestock](/source/Livestock). The lions killed 3 [donkeys](/source/Donkey) and 244 [cattle](/source/Cattle) before being shot.[2]
