**Issam Jebali** ([Arabic](/source/Arabic_language): عصام الجبالي; born 25 December 1991) is a Tunisian professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who plays as a [forward](/source/Forward_(association_football)#False_9) or a [winger](/source/Forward_(association_football)#Winger) for [J1 League](/source/J1_League) club [Gamba Osaka](/source/Gamba_Osaka) and the [Tunisia national team](/source/Tunisia_national_football_team).[2]

## Club career

On 9 February 2015, Jebali was announced at [Värnamo](/source/IFK_V%C3%A4rnamo) on a two year contract.[3]

On 18 July 2016, Jebali was announced at [Elfsborg](/source/IF_Elfsborg) on a three and a half year contract.[4] On 23 March 2017, he signed a new four year contract with the club through the 2021 season.[5]

On 8 August 2018, Jebali was announced at [Rosenborg](/source/Rosenborg_BK) on a four year contract, after scoring 5 goals and registering 5 assists with Elfsborg.[6]

In January 2019, Jebali signed for [Al-Wehda](/source/Al-Wehda_Club_(Mecca)).[7] Al-Wehda and Jebali received criticism from Rosenborg as a response to Al-Wehda appearing to announce the signing of Jebali before a deal with Rosenborg was actually finalised.[8]

On 30 July 2019, it was confirmed that Jebali had joined [Danish Superliga](/source/Danish_Superliga) club [Odense Boldklub](/source/Odense_Boldklub) on a three-year contract.[9] In September 2020, he scored four goals in three matches, and his performances led to him being named as the Danish Superliga Player of the Month.[10]

On 5 January 2023, Jebali officially joined Japanese side [Gamba Osaka](/source/Gamba_Osaka) for an estimated transfer fee of 7.5 million [Danish krones](/source/Danish_krone) (around one million [euros](/source/Euro)), signing a three-year contract with the club.[11][12][13] He was named the [2025–26 AFC Champions League Two](/source/2025%E2%80%9326_AFC_Champions_League_Two) MVP after helping his club secure the title with a 1–0 victory over [Al-Nassr](/source/Al-Nassr_FC) in the [final](/source/2026_AFC_Champions_League_Two_final) on 16 May 2026.[14]

## International career

Jebali was called up to the [2021 Africa Cup of Nations](/source/2021_Africa_Cup_of_Nations) after [Firas Ben Larbi](/source/Firas_Ben_Larbi) withdrew due to injury.[15]

During the [Kirin Cup](/source/Kirin_Cup_Soccer), Jebali scored his first international goal against [Chile](/source/Chile_national_football_team) on 10 June 2022, scoring in the 89th minute.[16]

Jebali was called up to the Tunisia squad for the [2022 FIFA World Cup](/source/2022_FIFA_World_Cup).[17]
