'''Israel Sharon''' ({{Langx|he|ישראל שרון}}; born in [Tel Aviv](/source/Tel_Aviv), 25 May 1966) is an Israeli [composer](/source/composer), [pianist](/source/pianist), arranger, [conductor](/source/conducting) and a teacher in [Israel Arts and Science Academy](/source/Israel_Arts_and_Science_Academy).

As a young man Israel Sharon studied [piano](/source/piano) with [Alexander Volkov](/source/Alexander_Volkov_(pianist)) and [composition](/source/musical_composition) with [Abel Ehrlich](/source/Abel_Ehrlich). Later, he studied at the [Buchmann-Mehta School of Music](/source/Buchmann-Mehta_School_of_Music) in Tel Aviv, where he continued his composition studies with [Leon Schidlowsky](/source/Leon_Schidlowsky). Israel Sharon also studied at [Rice University](/source/Rice_University) in [Houston](/source/Houston), [Texas](/source/Texas).

Since 1992 he has been a leading member of the Israeli [Kaprizma Ensemble](/source/Kaprizma_Ensemble) as a composer, conductor and pianist. He has composed numerous works for the ensemble many of which were also recorded by the ensemble.

He has done arrangements of other compositions including one of [Maurice Ravel](/source/Maurice_Ravel)'s ''[Daphnis and Chloe](/source/Daphnis_and_Chloe)'' for 16 instruments.

His works have been performed by Kaprizma as well as by leading international artists such as [Pierre Strauch](/source/Pierre_Strauch), [Alain Damiens](/source/Alain_Damiens), [Julius Berger](/source/Julius_Berger_(cellist)), [Wolfgang Meyer](/source/Wolfgang_Meyer), [Cihat Askin](/source/Cihat_Askin), [Sava Stoianov](/source/Sava_Stoianov) and members of the [Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center](/source/Chamber_Music_Society_of_Lincoln_Center) to name but few. His composition were presented concerts and festivals in many countries including Germany, Austria, Russia, South Korea, USA, Cyprus, Hungary and Israel.
