**Isabelle "Izzy" Songhurst** (born 16 January 1999) is a British [trampoline gymnast](/source/Trampoline_gymnast). She is an eight-time medalist at the [World Championships](/source/Trampoline_Gymnastics_World_Championships), including a gold medalist in the all-around team event. With [Bryony Page](/source/Bryony_Page), she is a two-time [European champion](/source/European_Trampoline_Championships) ([2022](/source/2022_European_Trampoline_Championships), [2024](/source/2024_European_Trampoline_Championships)) and the [2023 World](/source/2023_Trampoline_Gymnastics_World_Championships) bronze medalist in [synchronized trampoline](/source/Synchronized_trampoline). She represented [Great Britain at the 2024 Summer Olympics](/source/Great_Britain_at_the_2024_Summer_Olympics), finishing 14th in the qualification round.

## Gymnastics career

Songhurst began trampoline gymnastics when she was two years old because her mother was a coach.[1] Her younger sister Maddy has also competed internationally in the sport.[2]

### Junior

Songhurst competed at the 2013 World Age Group Competition, finishing seventh as an individual and fourth in the synchro event among the 13-14 age group.[2] She then won an individual silver medal at the 2015 World Age Group Competition by 0.070 points behind Japan's [Hikaru Mori](/source/Hikaru_Mori).[3]

### Senior

Songhurst competed at her first senior-level World Championships in [2017](/source/2017_Trampoline_Gymnastics_World_Championships) and won a bronze medal in the team event alongside [Laura Gallagher](/source/Laura_Gallagher) and [Kat Driscoll](/source/Kat_Driscoll).[4] She dislocated her ankle the day before the [2018 European Championships](/source/2018_European_Trampoline_Championships) and had surgery in [Baku](/source/Baku).[1] At the [2019 World Championships](/source/2019_Trampoline_Gymnastics_World_Championships), she won a silver medal in the team event with Gallagher, Driscoll, and [Bryony Page](/source/Bryony_Page).[5]

At the [2022 European Championships](/source/2022_European_Trampoline_Championships), Songhurst and Page won the synchro title.[6] She also won the individual title at the 2022 British Championships.[7] Then at the [2022 World Championships](/source/2022_Trampoline_Gymnastics_World_Championships), Songhurst, Page, and [Louise Brownsey](/source/Louise_Brownsey) won a silver medal in the trampoline team event, behind China.[8] She also won a gold medal in the all-around team event, and she finished eighth in the synchro final with Page.[9]

Songhurst successfully defended her individual title at the 2023 British Championships.[7][10] Songhurst and Page won the synchro event at the 2023 Varna World Cup after finishing fourth at the Palm Beach World Cup.[11] At the [2023 World Championships](/source/2023_Trampoline_Gymnastics_World_Championships), she placed seventh in the individual event and won a bronze medal in the synchro event with Page.[12] Her individual result ensured a second berth for Great Britain at the [2024 Summer Olympics](/source/2024_Summer_Olympics).[13] Additionally, she won a bronze medal in the all-around team event.[14]

Songhurst and Page won the synchro title at the [2024 European Championships](/source/2024_European_Trampoline_Championships),[15] where she also placed seventh in the individual final.[16] She was selected to compete at the [2024 Summer Olympics](/source/2024_Summer_Olympics) and finished 14th, meaning she did not advance to the [final](/source/Gymnastics_at_the_2024_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Women's_trampoline).[17]

At the [2025 World Championships](/source/2025_Trampoline_Gymnastics_World_Championships), Songhurst and Page won the synchro silver medal. Additionally, she helped Great Britain win the bronze medal in the all-around team event.[18]
