# Isaac Ward

**Isaac**"**Argy**"**Ward** (born 7 April 1977) is an English [amateur](/source/Amateur) [featherweight](/source/Featherweight) and professional [super bantamweight](/source/Super_bantamweight) [boxer](/source/Boxing).

Ward was born in [Darlington](/source/Darlington). As an amateur, he was runner-up for the 2000 Amateur Boxing Association of England (ABAE) featherweight title, against [David Mullholland](/source/David_Mullholland) (Salisbury ABC),[1] boxing out of Darlington ABC, and as a professional won the [Commonwealth super bantamweight title](/source/List_of_Commonwealth_Boxing_Council_Champions#super_bantamweight). He was a challenger for the [British Boxing Board of Control](/source/British_Boxing_Board_of_Control) (BBBofC) British bantamweight title, against [Martin Power](/source/Martin_Power).[2]
