**Irwell Riverside** is an [electoral ward](/source/Ward_(politics)) of [Salford](/source/City_of_Salford), [England](/source/England).[1] The ward is bounded by meanders of the [River Irwell](/source/River_Irwell) and includes the main University of Salford campus.

It is represented in [Westminster](/source/Parliament_of_the_United_Kingdom) by [Rebecca Long-Bailey](/source/Rebecca_Long-Bailey) [MP](/source/Member_of_parliament#United_Kingdom) for [Salford and Eccles](/source/Salford_and_Eccles_(UK_Parliament_constituency)).[2] A profile of the ward conducted by [Salford City Council](/source/Salford_City_Council) in 2014 recorded a population of 12,939.[3]
