# Iod (river)

The **Iod** River (Hungarian: *Jád-patak*) is a left [tributary](/source/Tributary) of the [Mureș](/source/Mure%C8%99_(river)) River in [Transylvania](/source/Transylvania), [Romania](/source/Romania). It flows into the Mureș in the village of [Iod](/source/R%C4%83stoli%C8%9Ba). It is 13 km (8.1 mi) with a basin size of 28 km2 (11 sq mi).
