**Inge Theron** is a London-based [British](/source/British_people) [skincare specialist](/source/Skin_care), [former radio personality](/source/Radio_personality), [columnist](/source/Columnist) and [entrepreneur](/source/Entrepreneurship).[1][2][3][4] She is mostly known for her brand FaceGym which she founded in 2015.[5][6][7] She specializes in the Wellbeing, Longevity and Beauty industries.[8]

## Biography and career

Theron grew up in [Pretoria](/source/Pretoria) and [Johannesburg](/source/Johannesburg) with her mother who was a travel guide and historian. She completed her education from [The Glen High School](/source/The_Glen_High_School). She moved to London during 1994 to study journalism and started to work at [Middlesex Hospital](/source/Middlesex_Hospital), hosting a radio show. She then moved to [Virgin Radio](/source/Virgin_Radio_UK) where she worked with [Chris Evans](/source/Chris_Evans_(presenter)). Theron then moved further and worked for [Jonathan Ross](/source/Jonathan_Ross) and finally commenced a branding agency of her own.[9] In 2008, Theron co-founded Hollywood Domino, with actress Daya Fernandez.[10] The concept of Hollywood Domino is based on a 400 years old Chinese Game which Theron and Fernandez reinvented.[11][12] Theron then moved to [India](/source/India) and consequently under mentorship of Gillian de Bono, started her column *Chronicles of a Spa Junkie* in the [Financial Times](/source/Financial_Times).[13][14][15][9][16][17][18][19] During her time as the columnist, Theron travelled across the world including Mexico, [Uluru](/source/Uluru), Japan, Turkey and [Amazonia](/source/Amazon_rainforest) to work with the local tribes to explore traditional and indigenous skincare mechanisms.[9] She also provided consultancy through her agency ITANDA for the Spa Designing[20] during that time, which included implementation of spa studios of [Grace Belgravia](/source/Grace_Belgravia) of Henri Chenot,[21] [Faena Miami](/source/Faena_Hotel_Miami_Beach),[22][23] [Bulgari Hotel London](/source/Bulgari_Hotel_and_Residences) etc.[24]

### FaceGym

In 2015, Theron founded FaceGym, a skincare brand which aims to utilize the concept of 'workout' and 'muscle manipulation' to the face in order to give it a better appearance.[25][26][27][28][29][30][31] Facegym was launched in 2015, opening a concession in [Selfridges](/source/Selfridges,_Oxford_Street), London.[32][33] In December 2016, it opened its first standalone store in [Kings Road](/source/King's_Road), [Chelsea](/source/Chelsea,_London), England. In May 2018, Theron's Facegym opened a concession in [Saks, New York City](/source/New_York_City) and in January 2019, its first standalone in the US, in [Soho](/source/SoHo,_Manhattan), [New York](/source/New_York_(state)).[34] As of March 2021, Facegym has its stores at 6 locations in the [UK](/source/United_Kingdom) and five in the United States.[35][36][37][38]
