In [2022 IPL](/source/2022_IPL), the league expanded again with the introduction of [Gujarat Titans](/source/Gujarat_Titans) and [Lucknow Super Giants](/source/Lucknow_Super_Giants), making it a ten-team tournament. Each team must spend at least 75% of their total salary cap. Each squad must have a minimum of 18 players, a maximum of 25 players and a maximum of 8 overseas players. ==== Auction ==== Before the auction, teams are permitted to retain a select number of players for the following season.
