The band's first album, titled ''[In Battle](/source/In_Battle_(album))'', was recorded at Sunlight Studio in Stockholm, Sweden and was released through [Napalm Records](/source/Napalm_Records) in 1997.[{{usurped|1=[https://web.archive.org/web/20071031000703/http://www.tartareandesire.com/bands/In_Battle/828/ In Battle @ Tartarean Desire]}}] Their second release, called ''[The Rage of the Northmen](/source/The_Rage_of_the_Northmen)'', came in March 1998.
