**Imperial Productions** (known until 2007 as **Imperial Opera**) is a theatre company based in [London](/source/London), England. It was founded in 1979 by members of the Operatic Society of [Imperial College Union](/source/Imperial_College_Union), from which it remains completely independent.

The company specialises in giving exposure to rare and unusual works of [opera](/source/Opera) and [musical theatre](/source/Musical_theatre). Recent productions have included *[Moby Dick!](/source/Moby_Dick_(musical)) the musical*, *[Moll Flanders](/source/Moll_Flanders) the musical*, *[Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens](/source/Elegies_for_Angels,_Punks_and_Raging_Queens)*, *[Something's Afoot](/source/Something's_Afoot)* and *[Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street](/source/Sweeney_Todd,_the_Demon_Barber_of_Fleet_Street)*.

In 2008 they presented the world premiere of the new musical *The Last Maharajah*, and in 2009 the European premiere of the cult [Off-Off-Broadway](/source/Off-Off-Broadway) show *[SILENCE! The Musical](/source/SILENCE!_The_Musical)*.

They usually present shows in [fringe theatres](/source/Fringe_theatre) and other small venues in and around Central London, including The [Barons Court Theatre](/source/Barons_Court_Theatre), The [Cockpit Theatre](/source/Cockpit_Theatre_(Marylebone)) and [Hoxton Hall](/source/Hoxton_Hall). They also tour a production to [Budleigh Salterton](/source/Budleigh_Salterton), [Devon](/source/Devon) every December.
